Ronald Burda
It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce Ronald Charles Burda passed away suddenly on October 22, 2024. He will now join his parents Charles and Anne, sister Betty and brother Greg.
Ron is survived by his children Jeremy, Dawn (Craig), grandson Knox, sister-in-law Debra, niece Megan (Alvin), nephew Justin and great-nephew Hunter along with Fay and Gordie and many dear friends who loved him.
Born September 28th 1951 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the passing of his parents at a young age Ronald and his brother lived with their sister Betty (Nick) Feledechuk in Lower Fort Garry.
Ron attended Issac Newton School, Mapleton and Selkirk High School where he excelled in sports and academics. Ron had a passion for photography (which he developed most of his own prints), music and travel, getting together with family and friends at the trailer.
Ron had a good work ethic working at Princess Auto and later graduating as a Psychiatric Nurse at SMHC in 1978 where he worked for 35 years until his retirement.
Ron enjoyed life to its fullest with many friendships, he was generous to a fault and always made sure that you were fed and giving a helping hand when you needed it.
Ron gave back to the community especially his volunteering at the Selkirk Soup Kitchen and Selkirk Legion.
