Shelley Stevenson Obituary

Sadly Shelley Lynn Stevenson , 45 passed away on September 24th, 2020 in Selkirk, MB after a courageous battle with cancer.

Survived by her children, Brittany (Chris), Jacob (Hayley), Tessa, Stormy, Summer and step-daughter Madison. She is also survived by her loving partner Jay; father Brian Webb, step-mother Dian; aunts Diane, Margret and sister Heather.

She was predeceased by her mother Beverly; sisters Janice and Julie; uncle Mel and mother-in-law Evelyn.

Shelley was born and grew up in Ear Falls until the age of 11 when her mother Beverley passed away. She lived in Dryden until moving to B.C. where her first daughter Brittany was born. While Brittany was still a baby Shelley moved back to live with her friend and mother-in-law Evelyn. Later Shelley moved to Stonewall where her son Jacob was welcomed into the world. Her second daughter Tessa was born in Selkirk followed shortly after by her twin girls Stormy and Summer.

Shelley was kept very busy raising her brood, but still managed to work, play baseball and darts, and volunteer with the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital eventually becoming the parent advisor.

One of her proudest moments was watching all of her children graduate from high school and become successful young adults.

Her greatest accomplishment was when she purchased her own home, a goal she had been working towards her entire adult life. Shelley took pride in home ownership, and this past spring she and Jay planted a successful vegetable garden.

Shelley also took pride in all her life’s accomplishments, but one of the most noteworthy was her time spent building her career at CIBC in Selkirk. She was passionate about her work, loved her co-workers and was dedicated to her clients.

A moment in Shelley’s life she was looking forward to was the upcoming birth of her first grandchild, Blair Winter Lynn Dunning, who proudly was named after Shelley.

She will be missed by all who knew her. The team she had at CIBC, her pets Tobias, Izzy, Molly and Maggie and of course by her friends and family.

Rest in peace Shelley.
