Stacy Worth Obituary

Stacy Lee Worth (nee Reimer)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stacy Lee Worth (nee Reimer) on June 21, 2022.

Stacy was preceded by her mother Frankie, son Sebastian, and step-son Nicholas. She leaves to remember her, father Darrell, brother Brendan, husband Richard, children Reece and Rorie, step-daughter Paige, and many cherished family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Stacy was born in Selkirk MB on January 15, 1970 and lived there until age 6 when she moved to Minnedosa and met her life-long friend Marcy. At age 9 she lived in Dauphin, MB briefly before moving to B.C. briefly. She returned to Selkirk in 1981 where she then spent the majority of her life.

Stacy graduated as a Psychiatric nurse in 1992 and worked briefly at Knowles Centre before starting her career with Selkirk Mental Health Centre where she worked as a Nurse in Geriatrics and Acute, before becoming a Coordinator of Patient Services in 2015. She remained with SMHC until 2022.  She also worked casually with Selkirk Regional Health Centre as a Health Liaison Nurse.

Stacy was passionate about life and fiercely loyal to those she loved.  She enjoyed arts, theatre, nature and gardening.  She was deeply spiritual and a solitary Wiccan practitioner for many years. She loved to be in nature any opportunity she could. She enjoyed many sports and took to coaching soccer later in her life.

Stacy adored animals, in particular cats caring for a total of 10 through her life.

Most of all Stacy was deeply devoted to her family both near and far.

Stacy’s family was the light of her life. Stacy’s children and husband were everything to her.  She loved them more than anything else in the world.  She tried hard to make sure they knew every day just how much they were loved and cherished.

She loved to have family dinners on the holidays, especially when nephew Keegan and nieces Terran and Aislan came to visit.  Gu Mah made sure their visit was fun and memorable.

A private service will be held to honour Stacy’s life, light and memory.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Darcy’s Arc in Stacy’s name.

We will miss you Stacy, until we merry meet again.
