Stanley Russell

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Stanley Russell, aged 92 of Belair, Manitoba. Quietly in the early morning hours of April 3, after a lengthy battle with cancer he passed away at home with his son Steve by his side.
Born in Northern Ireland, he came to Canada with his wife and two sons in 1965. Ending up in Belair, Manitoba from 1987.
Stanley was predeceased by his parents Robert and Margaret, and his loving wife Jane who passed away in July of 2011. They were married on April 4,1953.
He is survived by his brother Rodney, sons Stephen, and Christopher (Connie), grandchildren Tarra (Jon), and Ryan, plus many other nieces, nephews, and cousins in Ireland.
I wish to thank the doctors and nurses of Pine Falls, Selkirk, and Grace hospitals. Thank you also goes out to everyone at palliative care services.
A special thank you must go out to my dear friend Tracey Green, who helped me get through this sad time. I could not have done this alone.
You will be missed dad.
