Stephen Fryza Obituary

STEPHEN FRYZA

December 11, 1939 - May 16, 2026

Peacefully and quickly, Steve passed on to glory May 16, 2026.  He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 53 years, Grace;  his four adult children, Joey (Vanessa) Fryza, Susan (James) Beck, Kimberly (Mike) Mulder, and Jennifer (John) Fryza;  his beautiful and adored grandchildren, Emily (Mark), Sophia (Tanner), and Josie (Keen) Fryza, Andrew (Kamryn), Sean (Emily), and Georgia Beck, and Liam Mulder; his older brother Frank Fryza as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Steve grew up on the farm in Petersfield, Manitoba and farmed most of his life.  He loved his animals ranging from dairy/beef cows, pigs, geese, chickens, many dogs, cats, a horse, and even a goat.  It wasn’t safe for him and his daughter Kim to go to the auction as they would always come home with a new farm animal.

He loved his cars, especially when he could race at the local speedway.  He was always tinkering in the shop, taking an engine apart and putting it back together to keep old trucks and tractors going long after their expiry date.  He was a man of many talents but truly excelled in carpentry.  He could fix almost anything.

Later in life, Jesus took him on mission trips to Greece, Africa, Poland, and the United Kingdom.  He loved the Lord, and expressed that love by singing, dancing and rejoicing before His Saviour.  Even in the last six years while at River East personal care home, he could be heard singing his favorite hymns with his spiritual sister Rachael.  Thank you Rachael for your faithful service.

Thank you to all the staff at River East PCH, they all took such great care of him and could always make him break out into that big, beautiful smile of his.  There are too many to mention but a special thank you to Cassandra, Jo-lene, “the tomato man”, and Kristy - who he referred to as the big Kahuna.

Steve will be greatly missed and leaves a large hole in our lives.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be sent to Parkinson’s Canada.
