Terrance Mitchell Obituary
Terrance Wray Mitchell
October 5, 1950 – June 17, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Terry Mitchell on June 17, 2026 at the age of 75.
Terry was born in Churchill, but spent all his life in Selkirk, MB., where he trained at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre for 10 years as a psychiatric nurse and then worked at Seven Oaks Hospital until his retirement.
Terry was a very private man and devoted his time to his family, career and astounding and extensive Star Trek collection, which he never had any intentions to stop building upon.
Terry was an avid reader and so full of knowledge that he was always ready to share a fun fact with you or a silly joke he heard.
Terry had a heart of gold and was the most thoughtful, empathetic and generous man that you could ever have had the privilege to know. He was always willing and eager to help anyone in need.
Terry was predeceased by his parents Myrtle and Roger Mitchell, the love of his life Glenys Mitchell, baby sister Colleen Palmer, nephew Camryn Eastman and his fur baby who he adored Selket. He has left to mourn his three sisters, Sharon Wozny, Yvette Mitchell and Yvonne Eastman; his niece Andrea Wozny (Jeff) and nephews Sean Palmer (Jackie), Deverand Palmer (Kelly), Graham Eastman, Dallas Mitchell (Cindy), Trevor Wozny and many great nieces and nephews.
As per Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service at his request. His ashes will be spread in an area that holds dear in his heart. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
Rest in Peace Terry-We love you!
