Travis Schmidt Obituary

Travis Neil Schmidt

Suddenly and unexpectedly on May 25, 2020, Travis Neil Schmidt passed away. He was born December 2, 1991 in Winnipeg Manitoba, the son of Neil and Bonnie (nee Hacking) Schmidt.

Travis is remembered for his happy-go-lucky personality, his amazing memory of movie quotes, and his love of music. Travis had a sharp sense of humour which mimicked his mother’s perfectly. Travis grew up around cousins and friends at his family’s pool. He also enjoyed playing hockey and staying up late watching movies with his mom. As Travis grew up his love for music became prominent and he made many lifelong friends in the music scene.

Travis was predeceased by his mother, Bonnie. Travis is survived by his father, Neil, and sisters Miranda (Brayden), Tanis, and Cindy. He also leaves his nieces and nephews Deven (Amanda), Alex, Thomas, Kessa & Averi. He is also survived by his grandmother, Leona, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

At this time, due to the current pandemic, the family will be holding a private ceremony for close family and friends by invitation only. Travis’ friends are encouraged to safely remember him within their own ceremonies. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba.

Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com.
