Valdine Waytiuk Obituary

Valdine Waytiuk

With profound sadness, the family announces the unexpected passing of Valdine Waytiuk at the age of 69, on March 29, 2024.

Val was born September 6, 1954, to Harry and Lillian Waytiuk. Left to mourn her passing are her children Jeff (Maureen) and Bev, grandchildren Dylan and Brayden, as well as brothers Jimmy (Lorette), Lloyd (Brenda), Edgie (Addy[Late]), Allen, Karl (Cheryl) and Kelvin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Val was predeceased by her parents as well as brothers Dennis and Brian.

Val spent the early years of her life as an LPN in Selkirk, after which she went back to school and attained the designation of RN. She retired from Seven Oaks Hospital after many years of providing care. Val was the consummate care giver, helping to look after her late sister-in-law through a devastating cancer diagnosis, and assisting with her brothers' medical appointments.  As much as Val loved nursing, by far her favorite title was "Nana" She was so proud of her boys whom she will always LOVE TO THE MOON AND BACK! Val was exceptionally kind and generous, and loved a long conversation.  She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A service will be held for her on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk. The service will be livestreamed via the following link https://youtube.com/live/XYnfWXh-Bec  The video tribute can be viewed via the following link: https://youtu.be/fEmqwLCHuSo
