It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vigdis Bauernhuber, at Arborg and District Health Centre, on May 6th, 2025. 

Vigdis was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Joseph, last November. She was also predeceased by her daughter Ingrid and son Philip; her parents Kristjon and Inda Sigurdson, brothers Oli (Bennie) and Sveinn, and sister Borga (Bjarki), and nephew Gestur. She is survived by her son, Bruce, daughter-in-law Susan, brother-in-law Karl (Kristine) and their daughters, Loreen and Tracey and their families; sister-in-law Frances and her family, and Kristine Perlmutter (Bill), Thora Delaquis (Pascal), Irene Marks, Karl Jakobson (Darlene), Glen Jakobson (Yumi), Alma McCaffrey (Mark), and Lorna Jakobson and all of their families

Thanks to the staff of Arborg Hospital for looking after her in her final days, and to the wonderful staff and Management of Arborg Assisted Living who took such good care of her and Joe for the years they were residents. We are especially grateful to her nieces, Kristine, Thora, Irene, Alma and Lorna for their Love and support, and to daughter-in-law Susan for her compassion, medical knowledge, and Love through many trying times over the last few years.
