Kenneth Wayne Podjan

Peacefully, on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Selkirk Betel Home, Kenneth Wayne Podjan, passed away at the age of 75 years after a courageous struggle with dementia.

He was born on October 22, 1945, the fourth child of Martha and Gus Podjan and grew up on the family farm near Niverville. As farming was not his calling, he ventured out into the business world eventually calling Selkirk home.

Wayne is survived by his wife Margaret; son Marc (Dayton and Tyra), step-daughters Tammy (Rob) children Devon and Cheyenne and Misty (Ryan) children Justice, Peyton, Levi and Sterling.  He is also survived by siblings Mavis (Bruce), Edwin (Deloris) and Janet (Maurice) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, brother Alvin, sisters-in-law Linda and Marilyn and great nephew Shaun.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and socializing with his friends at the Selkirk Legion.

In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
