William (Bill) Eckford

Passed away peacefully June 18th, 2026. Bill was predeceased by Ann, his wife of 50 years,  parents Allan and Mary, and his daughter, Kelly Zeiss (Pablo).  Bill will be sorely missed by his daughter Kyla, beloved granddaughter Rae Zeiss, brother Bob (Ellen) and niece Pamela, as well as other family and friends. 

Bill was born in Cobden Ontario in 1946 and spent his adult life in Manitoba as a 35 year member of the RCMP, protecting and caring for every community he served in. Bill loved hunting and fishing, spending time volunteering,  and watching all hockey but especially the Selkirk Steelers and the Jets. 

Bill's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Calvary Place Personal Care Home for the unbelievable care and love provided to Bill over the last 5 years. Their dedication to Bill's wellbeing will never be forgotten. 

In memory of Bill, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors, The Royal Canadian Legion, or your favourite charity. 

Cremation has already taken place, and a family service will follow.
