To the Coffin family, I am so sorry for your loss. I've worked with Barry in Selkirk and have always known him as a man who loved his family and work (In that order). Over the years that I knew him I gained an appreciation of how caring and respectful he was to all. Whenever he greeted me it was always with 'Russell Russell Russell' and I would respond with a couple of 'Coff Coff's, To this day I always think of him whenever I hear the wind rustling thru the trees. A great man, friend and a man I can honestly say, I was proud to have served with. To Live in the hearts of those left behind is noyhr5e4 to die. God Bless.

Pat, Rachel and Ryan
We were so sorry to hear about Barry's passing. Too young. As you may or may not know, our daughter Susan passed away March 2015. Dan and I certainly know the pain of losing someone so close and dear.

I'd like to share a funny memory I have of Barry...A few years ago Dan and I were golfing with him at Kitchen Creek. We were playing the par four 15th, which, if you remember, has a creek that crosses the fairway up near the green.  Everyone lays up on that hole.  The day we played the creek was dry. So Barry, being such a long hitter, decided not to lay up. His ball was only a few feet from the green so he chipped and proceeded to double hit the ball which resulted in a penalty stroke. To me that was so funny, and I'll always remember that about Barry.
Take good care,
Dan and Carol Livingston

Very sad to hear of Barry's untimely passing.  I enjoyed my association with him during my time in "D" Division.  Barry was a good member, certainly a good athlete, and definitely a "sportsman".  I remember him as being a kind and caring person and you did not have to know him very long to recognize that fact.  I am sorry for your loss and trust that many good memories will help to sustain you through this difficult time.

Pat, Rachel, Ryan and all the Coffin family
Our deepest condolences on your loss, Barry was such a great person and we know he will always be remembered.  It was my great pleasure to know and work with Barry, first meeting him when I was in Morris and he came to Emerson.  We shared many laughs and fun times over our years of service in the RCMP, becoming not only work mates but friends.  He could always be counted on to be upbeat and ready with a joke, story or prank.

Dear Pat, Rachel and Ryan,

It has been a gift to have met and come to know Barry over the past 30 years plus. I will miss his emails and our phone conversations. I am so glad I had opportunity to speak with him the day before he died. It was a short life but one that was lived to the full. He was loved by many and he loved in return. May he experience eternal light and peace in the presence of his Heavenly Father.  Barry fought the good fight, ran the race, kept the faith and now enjoys that promised reward. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Barry's family, I know he will be missed but always remembered as a great person, athlete and family man.  I worked with Barry in Wabowden, Manitoba in the early 80's and thought highly of his work ethic and compassion with all he did. A great athlete who excelled in every sport. So long buddy!

Pat, Rachel, Ryan .. You all have been part of our lives since I began working with Barry. Through my working with Barry and our kids being in school together words don't explain those bonds and that seldom expressed friendship, respect, and love that we had for your family.  My daughters and I are so saddened and have you all in our hearts and prayers at this time.  Martha Betina and Martina
