Cheryl Lynn Moore (nee McKenzie)
In the early hours of Sunday, January 7, 2018, with her family at her side, Cheryl Lynn joined her mom and dad in a place where Cheryl is at rest.
Cheryl was born June 4, 1955 in Selkirk, MB to Kitty and Ian McKenzie. Cheryl was an airforce brat and moved about with her parents and siblings.
Cheryl was proud to be a nurse and graduated from Grace Hospital in 1975. Her new career took her to Dauphin where she met her soulmate James. Jim and Cheryl married November 12, 1976.
Jim and Cheryl moved to Selkirk and started their family, Jaclyn and Janelle. Cheryl worked at Betel Home, Dauphin Hospital, Selkirk Mental Health Centre, Selkirk General Hospital, Seven Oaks, Royal Hobart (Tasmania) and finally at Selkirk and District General Hospital. Due to poor health Cheryl had to leave nursing.
Cheryl is survived by her husband James; daughters Jaclyn (Jon) and Janelle; her siblings Kathy, David (Lori), Debbie (Darrell), Michael (Barb) and Cindy (Richard); father-in-law Robert and sister in-law Terry (Jim), plus many nieces and nephews. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents Ian and Kitty and mother-in-law Lillian.
Thank you to Dr. R. Lindenschmidt Sr. and the staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre and Selkirk Home Care.
