Mark Earl Vann

Sept. 12, 1948 - Nov. 28, 2017

Mark Earl Vann passed away after a brief illness at the age of 69.

Mark was the much loved husband and partner of Susan, brother-in-law to Mark (Erin) and Scott (Cathy) and uncle to Amelia. Mark was predeceased by his mother Maggie, father Earl and brother Monty. He is survived by his brother Murray and step-mother Jocelyn.

Mark graduated from the University of Manitoba, dept. of architecture but soon determined that he preferred something ‎more hands on and so he became a tool and die machinist, a trade he practiced until he retired. Mark then took over the full-time running of  No. 7 Stables until his death. Mark often commented that he had never worked so hard as when he "retired".

Mark was the master of small kindnesses that make life a little easier for those around him. Whether it was making sure vehicles were plugged in or a favorite candy was always mysteriously around, these small unselfish kindnesses were part of who Mark was.

Mark will be missed by everyone, whether two-legged or four at No. 7 Stables.

Cremation has already taken place and at Mark's request there will be no funeral.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts Mark would want everyone to remember that life and love are gifts to be treasured... and motorcycles are fun.
